The third and final destination on our Italy trip was Rome. I've been two or three times before, but never quite seen it in the way we did this time around. We visited all the historical monuments and ruins; the Colosseum, the Trevi fountain, the Vatican, the Pantheon, the Forum - the list goes on. Rome has such a rich and interesting history dating back almost 3000 years, and we spent entire afternoons immersing ourselves in the culture. Then there's the rest - the incredible pizza and gelato, fantastic neighbourhoods (we were staying in Trastevere, one of the 'coolest' areas), shopping, cafes. I'm having serious Italy withdrawal symptoms.
