PRETTY IN PINK

Pink has been a difficult colour for me. I don't feel my most comfortable in cute flared skirts, doll-like dresses, and hot pink.  It makes me feel a bit too much like Barbie. On the other hand, I am drawn to its vibrancy, and I think with the right cut of clothing, pairing of accessories and hairstyle to match, it can be vivacious and sexy. It's certainly not a shy colour. Worn with neutrals and dark colours, the sweetness of it is muted, which allows it to really pop against the monochrome in a still playful yet more mature way.

  3. You're right – although I love pink, too sometimes it looks like Barbie (especially in my case with blonde hair xD). I love how you combined the shirt with the pants, you look totally awesome!

    1. Thanks, Stella! Yeah, it's a tough colour to make look anything other than girly. You could rock it, though ;)

  10. Great way to wear pink....I really love how that turtleneck brightens the otherwise black and white look...and those pants are gorgeous. I just love tartan!
