I have a small confession. I am obsessed with crochet. Hey, grandma, we have something in common after all. From chunky cushions to flimsy beach dresses and tank tops - if it's crochet, it's caught my eye. Something about crochet just instantly transports me to the seaside - I can practically smell the salty ocean and feel the breeze tousling my hair. Ahhh, summer. I especially love this open knit top as the ideal item of clothing to wear when it's steaming hot outside and your skin needs to breathe - much like this incredibly sunny day in Cairns.
These silky leopard print shorts lay in my drawer for a good 5 months or so, waiting for summer. I did whip them out on one occasion; desperate to wear them, I threw an oversized jumper on in the hopes that that made them semi weather appropriate. But before I could slink out the apartment, Jarv promptly (and amusedly) pointed out that they looked like pyjama bottoms. I took another look in the mirror and reluctantly had to concur.
I'm afraid it was near impossible to let go of the bloody hat as every sudden gust of wind threatened to lift it straight off my head and into the water!
Wahey! We got one.
