Our final two nights in Tokyo were spent at the delightful Conrad hotel. We'd already stayed in the Park Hyatt for the first leg of the trip, so decided to switch things up. Jarv had already stayed here recently, on his last visit to Tokyo 2 months ago or so.
Drinks in the lounge are intimate, cosy and have gorgeous views of Tokyo.
Our room was wonderful and, save the gaudy, shiny sofa and cushions, very classically decorated with touches of Japanese style.
As we only had 2 nights there, I didn't manage many photos of the public areas. Our last 2 days in Tokyo were spent dashing around the city.
The staff at Conrad, Tokyo are very accommodating, providing a personal experience that makes you feel special as a guest. The manager at breakfast was happy to let our friend join for the buffet breakfast (without charging either him or our room for it), our room was easily moved to a different suite with a better city view upon request and we got to add two more little bears to our mini collection! All in all, a pleasant stay.
Would I choose it over the Park Hyatt, Tokyo? Probably not, given the choice of either two, simply because I am such a huge fan of Park Hyatts. It is, however, certainly in the same league, and I would feel very lucky indeed to stay there again.
