HIGH LOW

I love the walk from mine to Canary Wharf. Through winding paths, over bridges, past barges and boats and swans, over the walkway looking out over the river towards the landscape of London, and through parks. On a beautiful day, it's a simple walk like that that makes me smile (and feel good about getting some form of exercise in).

I tend to hold on to certain items longer than I should. "Hmm, but I'll probably want to wear it come next spring!" I'll reason with myself. Usually the pieces do (finally) end up either sold, donated or thrown out, but occasionally I'll find a way to put old pieces together in a new way. I honestly am not a fan of this "fast fashion" age, despite sometimes buying into a certain style or trend. I would much prefer that my closet remain stocked with more high quality pieces. There's no shame at all in wearing the same coat ten years later if it's been kept in great condition and still fits and suits you.
