Whilst in Florence, the weather was so stiflingly hot I spent the entire time wishing I could jump in the river. On day 1, I whipped out the items in my suitcase that I thought would:
a) make me sweat the least
b) let my skin breathe the most.
This thin, short-sleeved shirt is fantastically classic, whilst also succeeding in being slightly different to the norm. The cut out detail on the sleeves is something small but special, and miraculously, the armpits didn't stain with sweat at all (phew).
The shorts are high waisted and have a faux suede texture - sounds hot, sticky and uncomfortable, I know. They were actually ideal - thick enough not to leave any sweat stains after sitting for long periods of time (heh), but loose enough to allow for some air flow.
That all sounded a little 'technical'.
