Okay, not quite Khaleesi, but in this dress and in this setting I did feel vaguely Daenerys like.
On a hot afternoon, I wore a dress that covered up a bit more and wasn't too revealing or body-hugging, so as not to upset when we were visiting the Ayasofya and the Blue Mosque. All I had to do was throw a shawl around my shoulders and head and I was good to go. Or so we thought. We arrived at the Blue Mosque, our last stop of the day, and the gentleman zealously guarding the entrance decided my shins were offensive, insisting we go over to the lady outside and get a skirt...to go over my skirt.
Word of advice: take every precaution and just go with a maxi dress. (I would have opted for trousers...but 32 degree heat with direct sunlight does not sit well with someone who sweats as easily as I do!)
