When my mum was visiting, we ventured over to Westminster to spend a touristy afternoon sightseeing. I do live in quite a beautiful city. Sometimes I forget, when I travel all over London for castings or hair work. Many parts of London are quite ugly. Many parts of London are old, dirty, grey. But a lot of London is also beautiful. Large green spaces; countless beautiful places to eat, shop and drink by the Thames river; towering, majestic architecture, proud symbols of our country's history, still standing strong beside the new and modern. I can see why tourists enjoy this city so much.
I was wearing a DvF dress my mother lent me. It's not really my usual style - I do love a wrap dress, but the colours and pattern wouldn't have caught my attention on a rack. Still, I tried it on, found the ideal matching flats and quite enjoyed stepping out of my 'comfort zone'. It's strange - sometimes wearing something so totally out of the norm for me makes me behave differently. I felt more elegant, more lady-like, and even a little demure (?!). Your clothes really do affect how you feel, and sometimes even how you act.
