FLAT LAYS + STOP MOTION

I've been enjoying shooting flat lays lately. I feel they add a fun sneak peek into one's life, whether it be what beauty products they're recommending, themed "what's in my bag" flat lays or "what my my desk looks like". Not to mention, a great way to keep my IG up to date when I've been dressed like a bum for the past few days and have no outfit photos to speak of. Ahem.

Another media form I've branched out into is stop motion animation. I've often seen these and thought, "What an awesome idea!" Short, sweet, and a little bit more interesting than a photo. My first attempt didn't exactly go off without a hitch, but nonetheless I'm pleased with the result and will definitely be adding more of these to my Instagram. What are your opinions on stop motion - yay or nay?

  1. Those are good flat lays! I still need some practice. I've heard you can buy marble backgrounds, so maybe I need to look into that. Having something lighter helps.

  3. Flat Lays are definitely tricky and you have to keep shooting them until you find the right formula for you. I love them and I need to start shooting more of them. I love how you composed the photos though girl.

  8. I'm really into the idea of stop motion but haven't given it a try yet. I'll look into it though.

    1. Definitely - it takes some getting used to and a lot of attention to detail, but it's so satisfying when you have a finished product :)
