Wearing:

dress from Shanghai
BCBGeneration sandals, similar here  and here
Dior sunglasses

On one of the windiest days I've seen in a while, a friend and I were hunting down a good spot to shoot in. For fifteen minutes we had our hair whipped around maniacally and I, permanently keeping a firm grip on my skirt (which tried to lift up at every opportunity it got), began almost to regret my outfit choice. Terrible idea for a blustery day. Whilst desperately looking around for a decent backdrop, we came upon this plain grey wall and figured we'd give it a shot. Turns out, it was the perfect neutral, simple background for a busy, colourful dress.

I love zigzags (Missoni, anyone?) and although the cut of this dress is quite sweet and girly, the orange and black combination adds an element of daring boldness. I almost wore my black & orange Cavalli sunglasses too, but with these gorgeous BCBGeneration sandals on my feet, I didn't want to literally dress head to toe in orange...

  2. Pretty dress. I love the color! It's always so windy here in OK. Makes blog photos so hard...

    1. Ha, same here! A slight breeze works wonders for hair and flowy dresses, but when it becomes too forceful it's hard to find usable photos!

  5. The beautiful printed dress, the big sunnies, I am so in love with everything about this outfit. You look amazing as always. And I love the addition of the sunflowers and the concrete wall behind you. Beautiful.
