When I was younger, Missoni wasn't really my thing. I was obsessed with Chloe (still am), with Versace's uber cool cuts and with fast fashion brands such as Zara. Over the last few years, however, I've found myself drawn to more timeless pieces (although I'll happily still rock an asymmetric skirt or studded bag) and even couture houses such as Dior (probably helped along by the fact that I used to work for them). Missoni is one of the brands I really grew to love in the past five years or so, becoming near obsessed with the signature zigzag pattern and the mesmerising colour combinations from warm sunset tones to cooler purples, blues, greens.
The most colourful item in my wardrobe is, I'm sure, my Missoni wedges in a gorgeous, vibrant blue, and our kitchen is brightened with the addition of a Missoni tea towel (next - the bathroom!). This dress was a no brainer. Easily punked up a bit with a leather jacket, but still a modestly feminine enough shape to wear with heels to a chic dinner and feel very womanly indeed.
