Banishing post-Maldives blues with a staycation seemed the smart thing to do. So we used one of our earned Hyatt suite upgrades to take advantage of a stay at the Hyatt Regency Churchill in London on a sunny weekend last month.
What's in the area?
Nearest tube stations are Marble Arch (central line) and Bond Street (central and jubilee lines). The Hyatt Regency sits pretty much in between the two. Selfridges is round the corner if you're looking to shop or grab lunch at their food court (London's best salt beef sandwiches are to be found at The Brass Rail). Those craving a strong, great-tasting coffee can head to nearby Workshop coffee for their fix.
How was the stay?
Having a Regency suite is fantastic - using our free suite upgrade here was well worth it. These certificates are just one of the benefits that come with being a Hyatt Diamond member, not to mention guaranteed late checkout, access to an executive lounge throughout the day, and breakfast included in your stay. Hotel executive lounges tend to be hit or miss, depending on the location and particular hotel in question. The Churchill's lounge is up there with some of the nicest. It's bright, spacious, welcoming; the canapés are delicious and the alcohol on offer is decent. Even when breakfast, afternoon tea or cocktail hour aren't on, there are still a number of complimentary snacks to nibble on, including entire freshly baked cakes, cookies and a generous selection of teas and coffee.
Favourite feature?
The food on offer at the executive lounge - it was impossible to resist a slice of freshly baked Victoria Sponge.
Anything that could be improved upon?
The balconies could do with a couple of plants - maybe bamboo? - on either side for more privacy from other terrace suites.
Book your stay at Hyatt Regency Churchill. Prices start from £367 per night.

Kamara this place looks absolutely amazing. I want to visit London but wouldn't even know where to start or where to stay. So this place will definitely be added to my list. Thanks girl and by the way love the photos.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous stay, and in Britain no less! ;) This hotel truly does look beautiful; this hotel has been on my radar from what I've seen of afternoon teas and such lately, though an insight into one of the beautiful suites has been a lovely surprise. Gorgeous photography as always - and I love both your outfits!

Ooh I didn't try the afternoon tea - the restaurant was incredibly busy during the weekend afternoons so I assume it must be great! Thanks, darling! X
